All the Open Days & Nights broken down by day for the week commencing 16th January.

My advice… check each day carefully and see if there’s a possible school you can attend and go for it! And don’t forget to check out all the local high schools as well as the grammars that you might have your eye on.


Monday 16th January 2023

  • Bangor Grammar School – Doors open 18:00, Principal’s Address at 18:15 and 20:30.
  • Brownlow Integrated College, Craigavon – Open Evening from 19:00 – 21:00
  • Cullybackey College – From 19:30 and will start with a short address by the Principal. (On Tuesday too)
  • Dean Maguirc College – Principal’s Address starts at 19:30
  • Wellington College Belfast – Open Evenings from 19:00 – 21:00

Tuesday 17th January 2023

  • Ashfield Girls’ High School – Open Evening 19.00 – 21.00
  • Cullybackey College – From 19:30 and will start with a short address by the Principal. (On Monday too)
  • Integrated College, Dungannon – Open Evening from 19:00
  • Markethill High School – Open Evening from 18:45.
  • St Patrick’s College, Maghera – For feeder schools only – At the St Mary’s Building from 16:30 – 18:00. (On Wednesday for non-feeder schools and Saturday at St Patrick’s College)

Wednesday 18th January 2023

  • Portadown College – Open Evening from 19:00.
  • Sperrin Integrated College – Open Events from 15:30 – 19:30 but these tours need to be booked. (also available on the Thursday)
  • St Mary’s Grammar, Magherafelt – Open Evening from 19:00. (On Thursday too.)
  • St Patrick’s College, Maghera – For non-feeder schools only – At the St Mary’s Building from 16:30 – 18:00. (On Tuesday for feeder schools and Saturday at St Patrick’s College)

Thursday 19th January 2023

  • Breda Academy Belfast – Open Evening from 18:00 – 20:00
  • Carrickfergus Grammar School – Open Evening from 19:00 – 21:00.
  • Coleraine College – Open Evening at 18:30.
  • Dominican College, Portstewart – Open Night from 19:00 – 21:30. (Open Morning on Friday too)
  • Holy Trinity College, Cookstown – Open Day Tour (by appointment only) and an online video for pupils and parents will launch on Thursday 19th January at 7.00pm on
  • Larne High School – Open Evening from 19:00.
  • Limavady Grammar School – Open Night and times will be confirmed on school website.
  • Mercy College, Belfast – Open Evening from 18:45 – 21:00.
  • Movilla High School, Newtownards – Open Evening from 18:30.
  • Omagh High School – Open Day with two sessions. Session One is from 14:00 – 16:00 and Session Two is from 17:00 – 19:00.
  • Rainey Endowed Grammaryou need to book a slot for an appointment. Please contact the school if you don’t have a slot already and would like to attend.
  • Sacred Heart College, Omagh – First tour starts at 18:00 and the last tour starts at 18:40.
  • Shimna Integrated College Newcastle – between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm. Visitors will hear from the Principal, receive a guided tour of the College and meet students and staff.
  • Sperrin Integrated College – Open Events from 15:30 – 19:30 but these tours need to be booked. (also available on the Wednesday)
  • St. Benedict’s College, Randalstown – Open Evening from 19:00 – 21:00
  • St Brigid’s College, Derry – Open Night with Principal’s Address at 17:00 and 19:00
  • St Ciaran’s College, Ballygawley – Open Night from 19:00.
  • St Colm’s High School, Draperstown – Open Night from 19:00 – 20:30.
  • St Joseph’s High School, Crossmaglen – Open Evening at 19:00
  • St Joseph’s College, Belfast – Open Night from 19:00 – 21:00 with the Principal’s Address at 19:00.
  • St Mary’s College, Irvinestown – Open Evening with Principal’s Address at 19:30.
  • St Mary’s Grammar, Magherafelt – Open Evening from 19:00. (On Wednesday too.)
  • St Mary’s High School, Newry – Open Evening from 19:00.
  • St Patrick’s Academy, Lisburn – Open Evening from 18:30 – 20:30 with the Principal’s Address at 18:30.
  • St Patrick’s & St Brigid’s College, Claudy – Open Evening from 19:00 – 21:15.
  • St Patrick’s College, Dungannon – Open Evening starts at 18:00.
  • St Patrick’s College, Dungiven – Open Evening at 19:00 – 21:30. Principal’s Address followed by tour.
  • St Patrick’s Grammar School, Armagh – Two sessions will be open to different primary schools and they will be informed directly. Session 1 will be 15:30 – 17:30 & Session 2 will be 18:30 – 20:30.
  • The Royal School, Armagh – times will be available on their website.

Friday 20th January 2023

  • Campbell College – Open Evening from 17:00 – 21:00.
  • Dominican College, Portstewart – Open Morning from 09:30 – 12:00. (Open Evening on Thursday too)

Saturday 21st January 2023

  • Assumption Grammar School, Ballynahinch – Open Morning from 10:00 – 13:00.
  • Gaelcholaiste Dhoire – time unknown and more information will be available on their website.
  • Lagan College Belfast – Open Morning from 09:00 – 12:30 with The Principal’s Address at 09:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00.
  • Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College, Knock – Open Morning from 09:15 – 12:30 with the Principal’s Address at 09:15 and 11:00.
  • Rathmore Grammar School – Open Day from 09:30 – 13:30 and Principal’s Address at 09:30 and 11:15.
  • St Columb’s College, Derry – Two sessions. Session 1 – 10.00 – 11.30 with Principal’s address at 11:30 for prospective pupils with Surnames A – L and Session 2 – 12.00 – 13.30 with Principal’s address at 13:30 for prospective pupils with Surnames M – Z
  • St Killian’s College – Open Morning with Principal’s Address at 10:00.
  • St Patrick’s College, Maghera – Open Day at St Patrick’s College from 09:30 – 13:00.

  • Good use of colour and graphics which makes it exciting.
  • Parents receives a progress email at the end to let them know how their child did.

All normal licences are a simple, one-off payment (except the monthly subscription of course) and they can be purchased in confidence through a normal PayPal account or using a normal bank card and the Guest option.

Licences are purchased depending on the length of time required and as additional years are only charged at £15 per year, it’s worth considering a longer licence if you have a younger sibling.
