This information below forms part of the key information that you will likely use to assess the general likelihood of your child securing a place in your chosen grammar school. But only use this information as a guide as it is subject to change, year on year and nothing is guaranteed.
Comparing AQE, GL and SEAG
Below you will find previous years details and the table below was provided by SEAG (2024) and offers an approximate comparison of the old AQE score and GL score, grade and cohort percentile against the new SEAG Total Standardised Age Score (TSAS). Again use this as a guide only.
Should you find any errors, please let me know by filling in this quick form -> here.
Due to Covid September 2021 admissions are not available as the test didn’t take place in November 2020).
The Transfer Tutor App & Social Media
The Transfer Tutor App is a web-based app for children doing the transfer test and it offers questions in line with the SEAG Specification covering English and Maths (with lots of great features), so it is perfect for the child in preparing for the test. The licences are sold on a one-off cost basis so the sooner you pick yours up, the more value you will inevitably get and the 20% Off January Sale makes this even more affordable and attractive.
In addition, I also blog (like this one) to help parents navigate the transfer process throughout the year and so if you don’t follow on social media already, you might find that a good thing to do. Simply click on Facebook or Instagram to be taken to that Page.
I really hope you find this information helpful and supports you to make an informed decision.
